Liverpool Biennial

People come from all over the world to see Liverpool Biennial, a 10-week exhibition that happens in the city every two years so Bruntwood couldn't miss out on an opportunity to be involved in something like this. How could we bring the festival to life for the customers and visitors of our Liverpool portfolio?

On the first day of the festival, five 'tumps' were delivered to the reception of The Plaza, the largest building in the Liverpool portfolio. This was Liverpool Biennial's unique and arty way of displaying spectacular images and text on previous Biennial artworks, as well as on the inspirational proposals for those newly commissioned for 2006.

But we couldn't just tease them with a static display, so we used the exhibition as a starting point for some lunchtime tours that were opened up to customers, giving them a chance to see some of the works in person. We fed them with lunch before the Biennial tour guide fed them with culture, taking them to certain parts of the city to see what Biennial was about. And, as if lunch and culture weren't enough, we also offered a trip to London as a prize to one lucky person that had chosen to take a tour.

We're pleased to say the customers loved the tours, with many of them saying without us holding them they probably would never have experienced any of Liverpool Biennial. We had completed our mission - to introduce new local audiences to this internationally recognised festival!
