Bruntwood invest £4.25m to redevelop Bootle office building

North England property developer Bruntwood Limited have begun a £4.3 million refurbishment of St Hughs House in Bootle. Bruntwood intend the redevelopment of 50,000 sq ft of office space to play a major part in the regeneration of Bootles new Office Quarter.

Bruntwood are working with Sefton Council to transform the office quarter and it is hoped redevelopments such as St Hughs will help it become a much sought after out of town business location. Setfon Council recognize the positive impact Bruntwood’s development will have on the area, with Alan Moore Deputy Chief Executive at Sefton Council commenting,

“The Office quarter has been in need of improvement, modernization and investment for a long time and working with companies like Bruntwood will play a major part in the process of transforming the office quarter”

Bruntwood’s refurbishment of St Hughs not only leads the way in transforming the new office quarter but with its on site customer service team, flexible office space ranging from 100 sq.ft to the full 50,000sq.ft and serviced meeting rooms, know as The Red Rooms, it will help satisfy occupiers in the area by meeting their demands for high quality office space and excellent customer care.

Colin Forshaw, sales and development surveyor at Bruntwood has seen demand for out of town quality offices increase in recent years. Colin commented

“The refurbishment of St Hughs is great news for local occupiers, allowing them to take advantage of high quality refurbished offices in an accessible location for the first time. We are hopeful that St Hughs will fill quickly given its flexible accommodation, quality customer service and the fact that it’s excellent value for money”

Liverpool based architects KKA are working with Bruntwood to create a new look for the St Hughs. Improvements will include a new entrance and reception area with two new glass fronted retail units planned to the Stanley Road elevation. New paving, street furniture and planted trees have all been installed as part of the Councils Public Realm work and alongside St Hughs are setting the tone for Bootles new office quarter.
