Bruntwood purchase their first building in Bolton

The building has been renamed Atria and will now benefit from a £4.5 million redevelopment scheme by Bruntwood’s in-house property team. This will include a new fully glazed atrium, lifts, a glazed reception and meeting rooms. The brand new office suites will also have raised floors and air conditioning. Externally, the building will be extended on the ground floor to increase the office size by nearly 20% to 77,500 sq.ft.

Bruntwood's Regional Director Sharon Johnson, commented, "This is a fantastic opportunity for us in Bolton. We aim to meet customer needs by providing flexible suites that will accommodate from one person offices to open plan floors of around 23,000 sq.ft. in what will be Grade A accommodation. The building is unique in the area being within 5 minutes walk of Bolton Town Centre but benefiting from the amount of car parking usually associated with a business park, with 270 parking spaces, at a ratio of around 1:300 sq.ft.”

Bruntwood are on schedule to complete the building ready for potential customers to move in by the end of the year. Once up and running, the building will benefit from Bruntwood’s head office and on-site Customer Service teams whose aim is to ensure all customer needs are met efficiently. Customers will also have the flexibility to move throughout the 80+ Bruntwood buildings in the north of England should their property requirements change during the period of their lease.

Keith Davies Bolton Council’s Director of Development and Regeneration said: “It’s great to hear that Bruntwood are moving forward with their plans to invest in Bolton. The company has been at the forefront of major regeneration schemes in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds." Of course, the plans are still subject to planning approval, but Bruntwood’s decision to invest demonstrates great confidence in the future of Bolton as a commercial centre.”
