The 10-storey building is occupied by businesses such as British Council, City College and Swinton Insurance. There is a 14,000 sq.ft vacancy at the building, which will be refurbished by Bruntwood’s in house team ready for new customers to occupy later this year.
This acquisition takes Bruntwood’s office stock in Manchester city centre up to almost 3m sq.ft. Bruntwood have always said that having concentrated ownership is important, as it enables them to provide new and existing customers with unrivalled choice and greater flexibility to up or downsize within the terms of their lease.
This marks Bruntwood’s first acquisition in 2008. After their securitisation process in 2007, they enter the year with considerable firepower for new acquisitions.
Agents King Sturge acted on behalf of Bruntwood, with Cobbetts Solicitors handling all of the legals. UBS were represented by Savills.
