Bruntwood Complete The Race To The Sun

On Saturday the 10th May, a team of cyclists from north of England property firm Bruntwood arrived in Nice, having completed the classic cycle route across France, ‘The Race To The Sun’.

The Bruntwood team cycled 600 miles during their trip, having set off 7 days earlier from just below Paris. This feat of endurance was all in aid of raising money for Bruntwood’s chosen charity, The New Manchester Children’s Hospital, for whom they have committed to raising £500,000 during a 5 year period.

Having enlisted support from family, friends, customers and work contacts, the team have now successfully raised over £55,000 from this specific event alone. This takes their overall total to £250,000, meaning Bruntwood are on schedule to hit their intended fund raising target.

Bruntwood director, Peter Crowther, who was part of the cycling team said: “This has been a fantastic achievement, not only from a fund raising perspective, but also for everyone involved. The trip was an exceptional experience for all concerned, with both the riders and support team giving 100 per cent for the whole trip.”

16 riders completed the trip, including one Bruntwood customer and 3 Bruntwood suppliers.
