On Sunday 18th May, 55 Bruntwood employees joined over 28,000 runners in the Manchester Bupa 10k to raise money for The New Children’s Hospital Appeal. Bruntwood have pledged to raise £500,000 towards this chosen charity over a five year period.
The race helped to contribute £2000 towards the fund, bringing the grand total raised so far to £250,000.
The day was a complete success, with Bruntwood’s own Andrew Butterworth completing the course in an impressive 37 minutes. The route saw participants run past some of the city’s main highlights, including Old Trafford, The Lowry and The Imperial War Museum. Runners were entertained on their way round with music and cheering supporters. This coupled with the sunny weather created a fantastic atmosphere for all who took part and for those who just came to watch.
Based on the achievements made from this year’s run, Bruntwood hope to continue to enter the race and look forward to next year’s event.
