The Lambs are unleashed

Go Superlamabananas is now underway and Liverpool is awash with 119 of the bizarre and loveable creatures, known as Superlambananas.

As presenting partner of the event, Bruntwood staff leant a hand preparing all the Superlambananas for their march across City.

Over three days, eight intrepid Bruntwood staff spent three days painting, varnishing, drilling, cleaning, carrying, attaching and photographing lambananas ready for their grand unveiling event last Friday.

Despite a number of lamb related aches and pains and the typically inclement English summer all the lambs were groomed, suited and booted (quite literally in some cases) ready to be launched across the City.

Sally-Ann Wilkinson, Director of Wild in Art said “We pass on our most sincere thanks for the support and hard work of the Bruntwood volunteers. We really appreciated their help with the preparations for the launch event – it meant a lot to the team”.

In its first week the Gosuperlambananas has attracted a huge amount of interest and attention from across the world, with BBC Breakfast and the BBC World News covering the launch and e-mails of congratulations coming from as far a-field as Japan and New Zealand.

If you want to follow the flock trial maps are available in all of Bruntwood’s Liverpool buildings as well as the 08 Place on Whitechapel and the Merseytravel centre. They can also be downloaded from www.bruntwood.co.uk/pasturesnew.
